Jessica Hardy is a Documentary Photographer currently based in Essex (England). She studied photography at the Official South Essex College before gaining her undergraduate degree in Documentary Photography at the University of South Wales. 

 

Hardy's work has been exhibited in Newport Market (2014). She is also a co-founder of Relay, a collective of documentary photographers who exhibited in Cardiff. (2016) Images from her recent work The Running of the Tap was exhibited as part of GIRL TOWN in St Margaret's House (2016)

Jess in the Gym (left) was shortlisted in the top 20 images for Life Framer theme 7: Humans of the World, and then selected by judge Zed Nelson as his 3rd Prize image.

 

Her work focuses on documentary and portraiture, specifically she uses photography as a device to explore the personal emotions and experiences we often hide from society.
